Our Annual Events

Our signature event since 1936! Every second Saturday in December, Newsies don our famous red jumpsuits and sell our newspapers on street corners all across Fairfield County from Pickerington to Sugar Grove and everywhere in-between.

Our annual auction & banquet takes place the first Thursday of every December at The Moose Lodge in Lancaster. Place your bid on various silent and live auction items, enjoy a delicious prime rib dinner from Castaways, and have a fun time!

The Charity Newsies organize not one, but TWO charity golf outings each year, including one of the few womens-only charity outings in the state of Ohio. Get a team together and “hit the links” for a great cause!

The Charity Newsies help hundreds of families in our community each year by providing back-to-school clothing and new shoes before the school year begins. Clients are interviewed by Newsies members to help determine their biggest needs.

Dozens of Newsies get together at Hamburg Fireworks in Lancaster on the last weekend before Christmas to compile 500 food boxes. These boxes are donated to area families in need and are made possible thanks to the generous donations of community partners like Bay Food Market, Save-a-lot, Smurfitt Westrock and many more.
